Today I find something special about everyone I meet.

Today as I recognize the Spirit within myself, I also recognize the Spirit within everyone I meet. I open the way to find something special about all those who come into my experience.

The Holy Presence unites us…one with another as we celebrate the truth of our being. As the Spirit within me continues to reveal the sometimes-hidden beauty and gifts o another, I rejoice as I share these wondrous truths with them.
Their joy is my joy as I delight in expressing to them the wonders of their uniqueness. I am excited and infused with new energy as I focus on all of the special gifts that are being made manifest in our world through everyone I meet today.

I now have a deeper and more appreciative awareness of God within me as I recognize God’s Spirit within others, and I am truly blessed!
Thank you, God, for creating all of your children to be Special.

Today I appreciate the diversity of human kind.

Sweet Presence of God, thank you for the variety and diversity of all peoples. We are the threads of a great and living tapestry. Distance and differences set us apart, yet we are all one in You.
Your Spirit within each of us binds all humankind together in a beautiful and perfect pattern. I marvel at the colors and beauty of skin, from the darkest ebony to the palest ivory.
I delight in the innocence of each newborn and welcome the wisdom of my elders. Holy One, there are a multitude of practices, languages and peoples who honor and worship You, each in their own way.
Today I appreciate the beauty of the diversity of all humankind. Thank you, God, that when You thought of creation, You thought of us.
Together, we are the perfect expression of Your love.

Today I will listen with an open heart.
Today, I remember that the healing for all violence on the planet is authentic communication. I remember that in every situation and circumstance, I am the ears of God.
I release attachment to my opinions and practice listening without judgment. In all my interactions, I open my heart to hear the true message I’m being given, rather than just hearing words.
Today, I remember that the voice of God lives in the heart of every person, and I honor all communication as sacred. I listen for that voice in my exchanges with others.
Today, I listen with an open heart, grateful for the miracle of language.

Today I use words that lift and inspire others.

As I go about the activities of my day, I take the opportunity to bless each person that I meet. I know that the words I use can have a powerful influence on others so I choose my words with love and wisdom.

I honor the sacredness of each blessed being I meet on this path so that I become an instrument of God’s love and joy. I realize the importance of my words when I compare them to the ripples a small pebble makes when it is tossed into a pond.
In just this way, my words move into the world in ever expanding circles, blessing each one they touch. My words are a beautiful symphony that bring peace to everyone I meet.
I choose words that are a soothing balm to all my spiritual brothers and sister.
Thank you, God, for the gift of words that uplift and inspire everyone I encounter.

Today I listen without defending.

The spiritual masters, each in their own way, taught and demonstrated that practicing nonresistance places one in a position of great power.
In listening without defending, we learn all we need to know in every situation and circumstance.
Today I move through the day with an open mind and a loving heart. I listen objectively to hear the spoken and unspoken messages. I let go of defending myself or other, and of judging or criticizing others for their position.
This frees me to accept all information and put it to right us, allowing myself and those around me to continually improve and grow in greatness. In the practice of nonresistance lies my strength. Today I listen without defending.

Today I am aware of how my actions affect others.

Mother Teresa said “Kind words can be short and easy to speak but their echoes are truly endless.” Our thoughts, our words and our actions are creative activity, but what are we creating?
Today, Blessed Spirit, let me be aware of the power of my words. Let my words as well as my actions be only positive, enriching and uplifting for all those who cross my path today. Today I offer myself to be in service to You by aligning my actions with Your will for the highest good of all.
Jesus taught us to “love your neighbor as yourself” is one of the greatest commandments. Let me express my true nature as a child of God by allowing Divine Love to shine forth from within me, blessing all those whose lives I touch today.

Today I smile, have fun, and laugh.

God’s irrepressible life-force expresses within me as a never-ending fountain of joy. Today, I am aware that at the very center of my being is an endless source of energy, vigor and enthusiasm.
This is my purest essence, and I delight in each new experience. Expressing as God’s radiance and light, I become as a child and seek new ways to play and have fun.
Perhaps, I walk through the day smiling at everyone I see, sharing jokes or funny stories. I engage in activities that warm my heart and lift my spirit. I dance through the day knowing that life is good and each moment is a precious gift.
I choose smiling, fun and laughter in every moment this day.

Today I give life the light touch.

Sometimes life can become a series of pressure-packed deadlines, heavy obligations and significant business. We can get lost in the drama of it all and take life far too seriously.
Today I intend to find a way to play and have some fun. Play is not just for children, it’s for adults as well. Every part of me is enriched when I give in to the healing spirit of play and have some fun.
Today I will laugh. I will read something humorous and enjoy a good belly laugh. Perhaps I will watch a funny program or video and just give way to freeing, healthy merriment.
Today I will let go of the drama of life. The past teaches me that what seems so crucial today is often something I’ll laugh about tomorrow.
So I’ll take myself a lot less seriously today and give life the light touch!

Today I commit to resolve differences peacefully.

When I become upset over the actions of others, it is time for me to remember God is present in all situations. Peace in my world begins and ends with me. I can choose to find a peaceful resolution to any differences.
As I turn within, I make a commitment to see the perfect peaceful solution. In this blessed stillness, we are one in the single experience of peace.
As I let go of all thoughts and become aware of only the silence within and around me, the calming spirit of God permeates every atom of my being. I draw attention to my heart, feeling peace washing over me as I enter the sacred space within.
In this moment I find total peace.
Remembering that we each express God’s love differently, I allow God to guide me to right action, bringing about peaceful resolution of any differences.
