Online Fundraising

SLC has an Online Fundraising Team that accepts donated items from members of and others.  The money received from selling donated items goes directly to supporting our church.

Selling donated items is a new way to raise money for the church community.  Many of us have items that are valuable to others, but they have been collecting dust, are no longer useful or used, or that just need to be released in order to make room for new additions to our collections.

The Online Fundraising Team currently uses two methods to sell the items donated by church members.  eBay is the online selling site for smaller items that are easily mailed.  Craigslist is an online selling site that allows you to sell locally or worldwide.  This site allows the team to sell items that are not easily mailed and need to be viewed by a buyer prior to selling it.

eBay Items Accepted

• Digital Cameras (less than 5 years old)
• Consumer Electronics (e.g. MP3 Players, iPods, Hand Held Games, etc.)
• Antiques and Collectibles
• Jewelry (e.g. Rings, Watches, Necklaces, etc.)
• Musical Instruments
• Sports Memorabilia
• Collectible Coins and Stamps

Craigslist Items Accepted

• Computers (3 years old or less)
• Electronics (Stereo Systems, DVD Players, Speakers--Less than 5 years old)
• Sports Equipment (Workout machines, bikes, etc.)
• Vehicles (Must be available to show to potential buyer and work with DMV)

The Online Fundraising Team meets every Thursday at The Center, 2201 Park Towne Circle, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  We review newly donated items, take digital pictures to prepare an item to be posted for sale, research items and write accurate descriptions, monitor auction items and ship sold items to buyers after the auction is complete.  In addition to donated items, you can visit the SLC eBay store where other items of interest are also for sale:
